When Eric Frenkiel flew up the California coast to start Stanford, he swapped his law school plans for a niche of the Silicon Valley Start-up Common (SVSC). On the way to his current position as CEO of fast database start-up, MemSQL, Frenkiel has passed through some of the SVSC’s toughest gauntlets — Stanford, Facebook (FB), and Y Combinator.
