A generation is coming of age that spent much of its youth playing Pokemon — a.k.a. Pocket Monsters — the Japanese game in which trainers compete based on the strength of their collection of some 649 cute and terrifying creatures, such as the yellow Pikachu (pictured). Back then (the 1990s), there were no Apple (AAPL) iPhones and GPS devices were not as widely adopted. But now they are.
