Brazilian oil giant Petrobras marches on with its project to become the world’s largest oil producer, but faced substantial headwinds in the third quarter, with the real falling nearly 20% versus the dollar and about 70% of its debt exposed to currency fluctuation, along from a slowing domestic economy.
