Most entrepreneurs have a hard time getting access to bank funding. That’s why the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation formed its Direct Capitalization Loan Fund. It just announced its third award to a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)—$5.3 million to Albuquerque-based DreamSpring.
