The old school free-traders are expressing resentment again this week, warning our efforts to ‘re-shore’ and ‘friend-shore’ will raise global prices. That is ironic in view of supply chain woes. But worse, it’s downright comical in assuming we don’t already know – and reject – their Ricardian brief.
