China Mobile Phone Users Now Top One Billion

The number of mobile phone users in China hit a new milestone of 1 billion at the end of February, according to a report in today’s Shanghai Daily, citing the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The figure is double the combined number of people in the United States and Japan, the report noted.
