Morgan Stanley: Aside From Accounting Hit, Q1 Looks Good

Morgan Stanley reported a first-quarter loss of 5 cents per share Thursday morning, but excluding a $2 billion impact due to the narrowing of the firm’s credit spreads earnings from continuing operations came in at 71 cents per share to easily top the consensus call.
