Chinese stocks climbed on Friday as investors sought low-priced shares after recent declines and ahead of the long Chinese New Year holiday. Chinese investor optimism on Friday contrasted with overseas worries about fallout from the political chaos in Egypt. Today will be last day of trading on the mainland until its bourses reopen on Feb. 9.
